Most of modern exposure to the drow have been the tribes of the Vulkoori. These jungle dwellers live throughout most of northern Xen’drik, scattered in small communities throughout the forests, rarely numbering more than a thousand in any one place.

The Vulkoori are named for their common worship of Vulkoor, a scorpion god most scholars say shares traits with the Mockery. He is depicted as a hunter, using wrath and cunning as his tools. Some travelers have described manifestations of this god in the deep jungle; a gigantic scorpion claw made of dirt and plants erupts from the ground, swallowing anything above. The Vulkoori take this as a holy sign.
