Many people call the duergar the “evil twins” of the dwarf race. Similar in appearance and habitat, the duergar certainly share some sort of heritage with the dwarves, but they lack any predisposition to live above ground (giving them a much paler skin tone), and have a stronger prediliction for the psionic arts. Mostly found in the underground cities and passages of Khyber, they are most well-known on the border of the Tashana Tundra and the Riedran province, Dor Maleer.
