This species of small, scaly-skinned humanoids claims common blood with the draconic races. They are often stereotyped as unintelligent and untrustworthy, but this mostly stems from their mistreatment in general. The Haka’jhar clans are the largest known concentration of kobolds on Khorvaire, based in the Seawall Mountains.

Taxonomists divide the kobold subspecies up by their habitat. Eberron kobolds are known to dwell on the surface, such as the tribes in Q’Barra, while Khyber kobolds dwell beneath the surface, like in the tunnels below the Seawalls. There are some rumors of a Siberys phenotype, high in the mountains, with wings and more draconic features, but no proof has been found.
