House Tarkanan is not a dragonmarked house in the traditional sense, but a collection of individuals bearing aberrant dragonmarks, usually engaged in criminal enterprise, concentrated in Sharn. The “house” takes its name from Halas Tarkanan, the central aberrant marked figure of the War of the Mark.

While the Boromar Clan focuses on graft and Daask on physical violence, the House is a bit more explicit. Assassination and theft are its trademarks, but to avoid retribution, it never accepts contracts to perform either on the Boromars, Daask, or the Tyrants. Rumors have been floating through the underworld of a new leader for the organization who calls himself the Son of Khyber.
