This northern Karrnathi city (population: 15,000) is the main stronghold for the Blood of Vol in mainland Khorvaire, as well as the main headquarters for most of the Karrnathi military’s necromantic assets.

The centerpiece of the city is the Crimson Cathedral, Vol’s flagship church. This massive and baroque cathedral is an imposing landmark; styles mix as obsidian minarets soar alongside gigantic gargoyles, all towering above the rest of the city. Within, there is a chapel for Atur’s Seekers, but the majority of the cathedral is made up of administrative offices and research facilities. The administrative functions are centered around the Crimson Covenant, the secretive ruling body for the entire faith. Malevanor, head of the Covenant, also acts as head priest for the largest and most public ceremonies.
